VanIsle360 was a hit!

The Van Isle 360 is a biennial (odd year), 580 nm. point to point race circumnavigating wild and rugged Vancouver Island, B.C. Sailed in a series of legs the course provides inshore, offshore and overnight legs through some of the most stunning and challenging waters on the planet. With the 20th year we had the pleasure of hosting the VanIsle360 on June 5th, 2019.

It was beautiful to see all the ships come in and out of our little Hardy Bay.

The day started off with moving all these chairs, tables, and tents down to carrot park! Thanks Alex, Bob, Sandra, Elizabeth, and Laura!

As the event started, Cody Woelfle with his guitar played beautifully to welcome all the VanIsle360 participants to our quaint little town.

After which David Knox performed a traditional welcome.

After the awards, the reverend said a few final words till we wished the sailors off!
